In Character:

Once within the realm of Kythandria you are In Character (IC) or in the guise of your chosen character. The stage curtain has been lifted and you are an actor roleplaying your character with the realm as your stage. If you had chosen to play an Dwarven Warrior for instance, you'd discuss things such as your love for fine ale or the goblin you killed the other day.

Sample Conversation:

Gulag the dwarf  : "Ach! T'is a fine day today, with the sun shining bright!"
Your character  (another dwarf): "True! Too fine a day to be standing outside! Let's go to the inn for some ale!"
