Emote allows you to do an action by putting your name before the words you type.

Example: 
Katya, a delicate elf, types:  , raises her oaken staff!
Katya sees:  A delicate elf raises her oaken staff!
Others see:  A delicate elf raises her oaken staff!

Emotes within Says:

You can also use emotes within says, typing the emoted part between brackets:

Example: 
Katya types:  '>Maruk Hail Maruk [bowing] has the famine reached your lands?
Katya sees:  You say to a swarthy man "Hail Maruk, bowing, has the famine reached your lands?"
Others see:  A delicate elf says to a swarthy man "Hail Maruk, bowing, has the famine reached your land?"
Maruk sees:  A delicate elf says to you "Hail Maruk, bowing, has the famine reached your lands?"
