The Nightblade They are alled nightblades by polite society, but in whispered shadows on moonless nights they are called other less flattering names such as witch hunters or, more aptly,... assasins. Oftentime of noble birth, they are coldly intellectual and well-read; yet while expansive minds lead others to the arcane, theirs has turned them into hunters of the only prey that challenge them... people. Mages, who they consider almost as intelligent, are their favorite catch. Their skill with weapons makes them efficient killers, though because they are more scholarly then athletic they are less than hardy and are forced to flee when their their plans go awry. Most times however their careful preparation ascertains their prey does not survive long enough to fight back.
